  i already have a friend who is trying to tell me that my mental health is causing my disillusionment with the jehovah’s witnesses.

  funny that a mental health therapist has told me my mental health issues are caused by being a jehovah’s witness.

  i’m still not going back.

  There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. - Luke 13: 28 NKJV

  The WT loves to call themselves the "Israel of God". Ha. Jesus specifically targets these kinds of boasters declaring:

  I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. - Rev. 3: 9

  Not only will the WT fall, but the Lord will make them fall down at the feet of those whose trust is in Christ alone. There, in that position will they be made to understand the utter rejection of the Lord and the love he has for many of those they called Babylonish whores.

  The last will be first in the kingdom of God.

  Will they be forced to view from afar the marriage supper of the Lamb? I personally believe so.

  This is what victory looks like for XJW believers.

  Thank you, Sea Breeze. Also, it would be nice if that worked for me, but unfortunately, it just doesn't. 😕

  It wasn't even on my radar for 8 years after I left. When I put myself in charge of my life after having put the WT in charge, it was a marked improivement. But, I came to the end of how far that horse would take me, and it wasn't nearly enough, not for me.

  Where is everyone? 😆

  i had a day off today and needed to get some errands done in my local town.

  2 carts have allocated here but i never ever see anyone out, even on very nice days.

  70% of the congregation don’t work.

  Hip replacement on Monday. Wish me luck.

  as the title says i'm having a total hip replacement on monday.

  the pain has grown over the years and now i'm using a cane to walk.

  after steroid injections and physical therapy, it was decided that a total hip replacement is appropriate.

  what is with the jw cadence when they speak.

  do they think they are teaching people ?

  they sound like pro wrestlers doing promos or shakespearean actors.

  You mean the mechanical, canned responses they present instead of genuine thoughts, opinions & emotions?

  When I was around 8-10 years old, I used to throw my body on the floor and beg my mother to speak normally to me. I hated JW-Speak as a child. She pretended to have no idea what I was talking about.
  
  However, when (very rarely) she was around a non-jw cousin at a funeral or something she had no problem talking normally.
  
  I think it's some sort of Satanic spell they are under. (for real)

  if you once were fully pimi and truly believed jw doctrine to the core like i once did, when you come to the reality that it is not the truth at all it can be extremely devastating.. i think only other ex jws could ever understand.

  i wasted my entire life i thought the real life was yet to come to wasted the best years knocking on doors.

  now i’m so angry.. i can understand why so many top themselves when they realise it was all lies..

  I used to occasionally try to explain the JW experiece to others. They all got a glazed look on their face and some were honest enough to tell me that what I was saying was beyond anything they had ever experienced and simply could not in any way relate. They were polite about it. They just wanted me to know that I might was well be discussing the effect of quantum fluctuations on Schroeder's Cat.

  In February I will have been married 20 years to someone with no connection to JW's. I relied on her over the years to try and understand what is normal in raising our two sons. My wife is about as close I will ever get to someone understanding the JW experience, but there is only so much she can take. There is a point where she will not look at the darkness, and shuts it down for her own protection.
  
  She basically describes how JW's raise their kids as criminal. It is useful to understand that normal people do not want to understand criminals.

  It is not plausible to expect that anyone would even want to do a deep dive into WT insanities. This includes counselors who use behavior modificatioin models. You would have to find a masters level psychologists or psychitrist.

  You will likely spend the rest of your life trying to figure out what happened to you. But, you can still do everything you need to do in this life.

  In the movie "A Beautiful Mind", the man living with sczophrenia learned to simply live with his imagined friends. He got to the point where he could realize they weren't true, although they were always with him.

  Once he embraced truth regardless of what his senses told him, he was able to function much better.
  
  I prefer to think of XJW's as people with beautiful minds. Seek truth and you will be fine.

  yep, that is the title of an article in the 1995 awake magazine alerting people to the horrors of valentine's cards & candy.

  the message is simple, if you eat valentine's candy at school while no one is looking, it's nearly the same as being in an orgy.

  i just can't believe some of the garbage i used to read and regard as acceptable literature.

  I just can't believe some of the garbage I used to read and regard as acceptable literature. I been out for 28 years. Orgy? They are nuts.

  Valentine was a pastor of a congregation in Rome who secretly married soldiers against the wishes of a Roman emperor who overstepped his bounds. He was martyred for honoring marriage and not allowing the State to take it away. I know that people say he was Roman Catholic, but 269AD was long before anything resembling the Roman Catholic Church emerged.

  The WT hates early Christians and what they stood for. In reality, the WT is a new name for an old scam.
